Position: Paralegal
Location: New York, NY
Reporting to: Senior Legal Counsel
Requirements: 8-10 years experience working for an in-house legal team.

Summary: The paralegal is generally involved with the day-to-day business of the company and is on the “front line” of Galactic Ventures’ business activities. In this capacity, s/he is responsible for the activities identified below.
Job Description/Activities: The paralegal will direct, assist with, and participate in, the following activities in support of the legal team:

• Summarizing legal documents
• Performing legal research
• Coordinating research
• Checking legal forms for accuracy
• Preparing reports
• Preparing correspondence
• Drafting legal documents
• Corporate upkeep
• Basic computer skills
• In depth knowledge of legal terminology and principles
• The ability to analyze legal documents for accuracy

• Contract management
• Assistance with export compliance
• The skills required:
• The ability to perform legal research
• Good writing and communication skills
• Good organizational skills
• The ability to prioritize and work under a tight schedule
