Ken Baxter, who has long adopted the nickname, “Rocketman” arrives at Spaceport America with a lifelong fascination about space. Growing up watching the first humans launch into orbit and then following the Apollo missions, it seemed becoming an astronaut was far out of reach. But when Ken happened to watch a televised interview with Sir Richard Branson talking about a new commercial space venture called Virgin Galactic, he knew he had to buy a ticket. He reached out to Branson and remembers, “I was blown away when he called me back on his cell phone! It was then I told him I was all in!”

The Las Vegas real estate entrepreneur is known for his masterful approach to marketing and selling homes, having closed more than 56,000 transactions. He and his wife Linda are passionate about caring for the planet’s rainforests and oceans.
